Meltdown Boo-gie

Today The Mirror's top Man United story is Liam Gallagher making a joke about Rooney's hair transplant....  Let's party like it's last year...
Their next story is the humorous tale of both us and Everton scouting the same player!  Funny because its the player they want to replace Leighton Baines should we buy him!  The hilarity never ends in the land of the Mirror.
Elsewhere The Daily Star report some comments from Antonio Valencia which were on the official Man Utd site yesterday:
“All the players are feeling good about the new season and there is a great team spirit amongst everyone.
“I love being part of this team. I have some good friends here and I laugh a lot with guys like Evra, Nani, Anderson, Bebe and Chicharito.
“Everybody in the group has a laugh together but when we have to work, we take things seriously.
“I’d love us to win all the competitions we play in, particularly the Premier League and Champions League.”
The Manchester Evening News have some quotes from Sir Alex on this and that, not sure where from.  Here he is on striking options:
“I always consider 1998-99 as the gold standard of Manchester United strikers,” said Ferguson. “We had Cole, Yorke, Sheringham, and Solskjaer, and when we needed a goal one of them would deliver.
“It happened so many times. I was always confident that whoever I was sending on could grab us a goal. The options I’m now starting to see in this squad remind me of that era. I hope we see a lot of goals.
“The hardest thing for me will be to pick the right pairing for the right games. And of course one or two may develop particularly good understandings with another. It’s going to be interesting.”
And he describes drawing 4-4 with Everton from 4-2 up as, "the most stupid thing that’s ever happened to me in my time at Manchester United."
And finally, lets all laugh at Suarez.  He was booed, and it upset him.  People booed because they were scared of his genius.  Or because he's an asshole.
"I think they jeer me and they boo me because they must be scared of facing a player like me," he said. "They fear me, but that doesn't affect me. I'm just hurt because we lost and we are going home. I can take the abuse … but I think it was a total lack of respect from the crowd to boo when we were trying to sing our national anthem. I think those things should not happen."
And racially abusing another player on the pitch shouldn't happen either...
