Cut you hair

It's all rubbish in the papers today, not really their fault though, just the news that's around is all rubbish:  Rio denies the FA charge for the "choc ice" tweet and Sir Alex feeling the need to defend himself against assholes.
Here's some of what he has to say, from The Independent:
The most successful British manager of all time, Ferguson indicated that he could have left United for more money if cash had been his prime motivation. It is why he has been so annoyed at the slur on his character.
"My decisions and beliefs are not based around what is best for my personal financial gain," he said."That is an accusation that insults me. If that was the case I would have left Old Trafford a long time ago.
"I am speaking because I do not want a situation to develop whereby the media and other parties create a rift, however small, between myself and Manchester United.
"I've spent 25 years of my life pushing this club forward and not only could I not have done that without those fans, I do it for them."
"Rio denies the FA charge" comes in 2 flavours:  plain, in The Guardian, or spiced, from The Daily Star, where it turns out Rio's at war with the FA.
In other, slightly more useful news, Sir Alex confirms Vidic will be on the tour of Scandinavia:
'Chris Smalling is out for 10 weeks with his metatarsal operation and Jonny Evans is still just in light training,' Ferguson told United's official website.
'They are big losses and they will miss the start of the season.
'Rafael is away but we do have Phil Jones, Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra. That will be the back four on tour.'
The Manchester Evening News report on some comments from Anderson about hopefully getting back on track this season:
“This season it’s very important that I don’t have any more injuries,” he said.
“I started last season with no problems, but then I started to feel my knee a bit. It’s just one of those things – some players have injuries and others don’t. It’s unfortunate it happened to me, but I just got my head down and worked as hard as I could to get back.
“And when I came back I thought everything was fine, but then I had more bad luck. I’m just focused on staying fit now and doing my best to work hard and give 100 per cent for the team.”
Final story, the most important of all, Eric Cantona has a beard
