We got it 4 Cheap

Owen Hargreaves must really hate moving house.  He's gone from stating a desire to play 40 games to prove himself and get back in the England team, to being 4th choice defensive midfielder at City.  Mancini explains the reasoning behind the transfer - he's cheap:
Mancini is believed to have been keen to recruit a fourth defensive midfielder after the retirement of Patrick Vieira.
...City’s determination to limit their spending forced him to turn to Hargreaves.
“We couldn’t spend any more money also for the question of financial fair play."
It's nice to feel wanted, but at least the feeling is mutual.
Just a couple of interviews doing the rounds to finish off the papers.  Ashley Young talks in platitudes on joining us, and on his partnership with Rooney

"You can build up relationships at a club and with the way Wayne's started and the way the club has started we've done really well already."So I'm delighted with the way things have begun. OK, we're only three games in and there is a long season ahead.
"But things have started great and hopefully we can continue to build on that and keep winning."
And Jonny Evans, slightly more insightful on the youth of our squad and his difficult last season
"I wasn't playing consistently to a good enough standard for Manchester United so I have gone back to basics and worked hard."
"The manager never said anything to me and I never went to see him," he said.
"I was pretty confident the manager wouldn't get rid of me. I have always thought he has a bit of faith in me. Maybe you do have the odd doubt but I thought it would have been unfair if I had left, considering the two seasons I had before.
"Last year wasn't a total disaster. There were times when I did feel good and others where I felt I needed that level of consistency every week."
