There's a suggestion in many papers, this from The Sun for instance, that Sir Alex is trying to influence Howard Webb, before the game even kicks off. The killer sentence in the article:
...when asked if he was worried a major call could sink his side again, Fergie said...
Yes, he was asked a question and he answered it.
Slightly more disingenuous is Daniel Taylor in the Guardian who omits the bit about Sir Alex being asked a question and says Sir Alex:
has gone against the Football Association's guidelines not to talk about referees before matches
Which sounds like the biggest example of entrapment: ask the question, get the story, moan he's broken the rules...
