Not Man Utd related but...
After all the prematch (anti)hype about having Premier League games on the FA Cup Final day would distract from the game and the whole thing would go into meltdown it turns out that viewing figures were up. It was ITV's most watched Cup Final since they got it back. Though still not as good as the BBC's figures used to be. The last one on the BBC was Portsmouth v Cardiff. It got half a million more viewers.
There's 2 lessons here: 1 - that the FA Cup isn't quite the dead horse the papers like to portray it as.
2 - Give the Cup back to the BBC.
