Sexy Boredoms

The main story of the day seems to be the selection of heroes by our team. Which says everything about the quality of the news today.
Here's who our players chose as their heroes. Sir Alex chose Denis Law:
"Denis was my hero. I idolised him. When I first met him I was so excited. It was at a game in Paris, he had played in the first half and we went for a cup of tea afterwards. I thought, 'This is it, I've made it!'

"He epitomised everything a Scotsman is about. He was daring and courageous, he had that bravado about him and he had style. He was a truly fantastic footballer."

Maradona is chosen by a few players: Rio, Giggs, Rooney (and Tevez):
Rio Ferdinand said: "My inspiration to play football was probably Diego Maradona.

"He's the first memory I have of someone doing something really great. I had all his videos and loved watching him."

Midfielder Ryan Giggs added: "I always used to look out for left-footers and John Barnes and Maradona were always the ones that I looked up to when I was a kid.

"I remember Maradona in the 1986 World Cup. He was such a great player. That goal he scored against England - not the Hand of God goal - was absolutely amazing."

Elsewhere its silly rumours time. The silliest (and I always worry a little when I say something is silly, on the off chance that it will actually happen, but...) is this, reported in The Mirror and The Mail, on adding Berbatov to a deal to bring Sergio Aguero in. Not only are all these players + cash deals always bullshit (why would the selling club not just ask for all cash so they can buy who the hell they want?) but the articles themselves both say we want Aguero to give us more forward options, so why on earth would we give them a striker to get a striker (at least The Mirror points out this idiotic logic)? It's a silly little story.
The Mail also link us to "Argentine wonderkid Eduardo Salvio":
The diminutive striker, who also plays on the right wing, is set to leave his homeland after impressing in Lanus's march to third place in the championship, which finished last weekend.
He is thought to favour Italy, but his agent intends to talk to United as well as AC Milan and Juventus. Napoli and Roma have also shown an interest.
I'm sure that's happening as well.
