The King

Interview with Eric Cantona on Jonathan Ross last night. Part 1 -

Part 2 -

Good interview. Cantona certainly still has the charisma, still the coolest guy on the planet. I am now contemplating growing a beard...
Talks on Sir Alex, says that he was a great manager because he didn't try to impose anything on the players, that he gave them the freedom to express themselves; says of the ban that he got for the Kung-Fu kick, "maybe I deserved it", and when Jonathan Ross asks him if he regrets it and gives him the "I enjoyed kicking the hooligan" quote, Cantona raises a little smile. He also talks about the, "When seagulls follow a trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea," quote, which is as good excuse as any to watch it again, the little sip of water he takes while delivering the line, brilliant -

He says it was not so much about what he said, but about the fact that he said that, rather than saying nothing, not appearing at the press conference, and it was "holding a mirror up to the journalists.
Good interview, well worth watching both parts.
