So my confidence is not running quite so high as it was straight after the first leg. But it's still running pretty high. Firstly, we totally outplayed them and looked better than them all over the park. I really don't see home advantage being enough to make them that much better. And secondly, we certainly have the players to suggest that we will get a goal, and if we get a goal I think that's it. Game over. If we score early Arsenal will have to go for it, leaving spaces at the back allowing us the chance to go on and score more, if we score late, Arsenal won't have the time to reallly go for it. With our full strength defence looking like being out there, I really don't see them scoring 3 past us. And if it does become an attacking free for all I don't see them having enough to win by two clear goals.
It's looking like, given the players rested at the weekend, we'll be fielding the same side as we did in the first leg:
Big Match facts. They all seem to point to us winning. These taken from The Telegraph:
Prediction. 1-1. That'll do nicely thank you very much..

Edwin van der Sar, John O'Shea, Patrice Evra, Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Michael Carrick, Cristiano Ronaldo, Anderson, Darren Fletcher, Carlos Tevez, Wayne RooneyI think the only possible change would be Berbatov for Tevez. Tevez certainly did well and suited the game plan perfectly for the first leg, but perhaps Berbatov's ability to hold the ball up could be better suited to counter-attacking in the away leg - a role he certainly played well away at Porto.

Of the 12 previous CL semi-finals to have been won by the home side in the first leg, the winners have gone on to reach the final nine times. The fact that Arsenal haven't lost in 24 home Champions League games isn't that important, simply because we don't need to win. And with our own unbeaten record (24 games home and away) the draw is looking like a good bet. And a low scoring one as well possibly? Take a look at these two facts:
Sir Alex Ferguson's men have conceded just one goal in their last seven European away fixtures.
Arsenal have won only two of their last seven matches against United at home in all competitions. They have also failed to keep a clean sheet in their last six encounters with Manchester United, in all competitions.
Sir Alex Ferguson's men have conceded just one goal in their last seven European away fixtures. So maybe it won't be the high scoring classic many people are predicting/hoping for, rather a tense nervous affair till the very end ... just what I wanted...
Arsenal have kept 11 clean sheets in their last 12 matches at the Emirates in all competitions. On top of this, Arsene Wenger's side have kept a clean sheet in each of their five Champions League matches at home this season.
Prediction. 1-1. That'll do nicely thank you very much..
