Slightly worried about the game today; West Ham on good run and we've been beaten the last two trips to Upton Park. In a way though this could be a good thing - no one will be taking this game for granted and with Liverpool wining yesterday there'll be a determination to go back to the top of the table. And there'll be a determination to keep the clean sheet record going, as I mentioned in the last post, we're 33 minutes away from the UK league record. I'm thinking that today could be the day that we concede a goal - although hopefully getting into the England squad will go to Carlton Cole's head and he'll have an awful game. I also thought that Zola seemed a touch overconfident in his pregame talk and I'm thinking he's set himself up nicely for humble pie when they get beaten
Team news. Rooney and Evra are, according to Sir Alex, fit to take their place on the bench but not fit enough to start. Nani is also fit again, as are the da Silvas, though these are unlikely to start. Gary Neville isn't available, suffering from a virus, but Wes Brown is fit to fill in.
The Sky Sports website's possible team is :Van der Sar, Brown, Evra, Ferdinand, Vidic, Ronaldo, Park, Carrick, Fletcher, Berbatov, Tevez. We can immediately replace Evra with O'Shea, given trat Sir Alex said he wouldn't start (possible that he's not being entirely honest about the selection, but why risk Evra when O'shea has been more than capable filling in there?) For the rest of it, most of them are pretty certain with only Park and Fletcher as changeable - Giggs for Fletcher perhaps? Tevez and Berbatov will presumably start, unless Sir Alex springs a surprise by starting Rooney, especially now he's been left out of the England squad, although I really wouldn't expect that to happen.
Prediction - See it being tight, but see us ultimately winning, probably with our clean sheet record gone though. See us winning 2 or 3-1
